CHALLENGE EXAMS
Students who study a subject via thee NorthStar HIS resources may be able to choose to take the challenge exam from that particular NorthStar HIS class for the purpose of earning full credit for that class from the accredited online school of NorthStar Academy. In other words, a NorthStar HIS student may earn formal credit from NorthStar Academy by passing the challenge exam, which is basically a cumulative final exam, which is associated with that class whose resources the student studied via NorthStar HIS. The challenge exam is from the NorthStar Academy program, so this challenge exam opportunity comes from NorthStar Academy. The rationale for these challenge exams is the same rationale that supports the CLEP tests and Advanced Placement exams which are owned and operated by the College Board.
Not all NorthStar classes have challenge exams, so be sure to ask the NorthStar staff for a current list of classes which have challenge exams if you are interested in this option.
